On this project I am going to do the cinematography. Choosing to use my DSLR; I haven't used it that much for filming, but hopefully it will be fine...
The advantage of using the DSLR is that not only is it easy to transport but I really like how well it picks up colour and for this project I think this is really essential; the lamb bananas are such quirky and colourful things that to not be able to bring this across on screen would severely let down our film. Also, I really like the option of interchangeable lens with the camera. I have three different lens, a kit lens (18-55mm), and 50mm and 100mm and together they should allow a lot of versatility of shots, and some really nice depth of field.
In terms of what I want to get on the actual day, I think for me the most important thing is well composed static shots that will look good as well as demonstrating the SLBs in their environment.
